RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT LIST FOR TACTICAL DEFENSIVE HANDGUN LEVEL 1, 2, 3, and 4  

Firearm:  High Quality Semi-auto or Double-action revolver (if in doubt, please contact us)

    Semi-Auto Pistols must have 2 magazines

    Double Action Revolvers should have 1 speed loader and 1 speed strip

150 rounds of ammunition for Level 1 (300 rounds if you are taking Level 1 and Level 2 in combination)

200 rounds of ammunition for Level 3 and Level 4

Holster and a heavy duty belt (Blackhawk Serpa is an example of a recommended holster)

Appropriate clothing for weather, as well as ear (foam ear protection provided) and eye protection (regular glasses, shooting glasses, or sunglasses) and close toed shoes

If you are taking the TDH Level 1 for CCW/CCH purposes, please bring a shirt or jacket which covers the firearm when holstered.

Lunch/Drinks/Snacks

All classes hosted at Cabela's will start with a sign-in at the west employee entrance to the building at 8:00am.  Please bring a pen, notebook, and photo ID.


RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT LIST FOR BASIC AND ADVANCED PRECISION RIFLE

If this is your first BPR course, we recommend the use of an AR-15 platform in 223/5.56 to allow you to focus on things other than recoil management.

Rifle, Sling, Scope with target turrets, and attached bi-pod

200 rounds of ammunition recommended A-MAX or BTHP to ensure accuracy at long distances.  Poor ammunition quality may cause undo stress on the shooter due to accuracy (or lack thereof).

Appropriate clothing for weather, as well as ear (foam ear protection provided) and eye protection (regular glasses, shooting glasses, or sunglasses) and close toed shoes.

Rice/Bean bag (if one is not available, please bring an old sock w/ no holes and a bag of rice/plastic BB's and we will make one in class.

Drag Bag or shooters mat

Tools - Screw Drivers, Wrenches, Lock-Tite, and any other items needed for your rifle's maintenance

Cleaning Equipment

Shooting Sticks (Bi-Pod style with adjustable height)

Food/Drinks/Snacks

Pen and Sharpie (your choice of color) and a 3 ring notebook - 8 1/2 X 11 for student handouts

Windmeter (optional)

Binoculars/Spotting Scope (optional)


RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT LIST FOR TACTICAL CARBINE

All classes are hosted at the range.  Please arrive 15 minutes before start time.


Semi-Automatic Rifle, Carbine, or Short Barreled Rifle with a sling, 2 magazines and magazine pouch.

200 rounds of ammunition

Drag Bag or Shooting Mat for zeroing rifles

Pistol/Holster with 50 rounds of ammunition (Blackhawk Serpa is an example of a recommended holster)

Appropriate clothing for weather, as well as ear (foam ear protection provided) and eye protection (regular glasses, shooting glasses, or sunglasses) and close toed shoe
